Founded by lifelong friends Ryan Kreiter and Adam Shaw, Spice City Music is the result of a decade-long journey that started in a neighborhood garage. What began with a passion for music and a single disco ball has grown into a premier entertainment company dedicated to one goal: making sure your guests have the time of their lives.

Ryan Kreiter
Co-founder & Emcee
Ryan doesn't just "talk" to a crowd—he leads them. Since 2015, Ryan has built a reputation for commanding rooms with a rare blend of professional polish and infectious energy. Whether hosting an intimate celebration or standing at the center of a stadium for thousands, he knows exactly how to capture an audience and drive the momentum of an event.
His extensive portfolio includes MC-ing benefit concerts, variety shows, and exclusive events for elite athletes, notably serving as the voice for the official homecoming celebrations of Olympic Gold Medalist Jesse Compher and Stanley Cup Champion J.T. Compher. Ryan's experience is further anchored by his time as the MC for the University of Illinois' "Sights & Sounds," where he hosted in front of 10,000 to welcome the incoming class to campus.
A versatile talent and natural personality, Ryan is also the creator of the online food review account "Ryan's Spot List" and serves as the long-time official announcer and scriptwriter for Northbrook On Ice.
A native of Northbrook with a background in Communication and Business from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Ryan ensures every event is perfectly paced. From coordinating a complex "run of show" to facilitating interactive games, his mission is simple: to ensure every guest is engaged and every moment is unforgettable.
Adam Shaw
Co-founder & DJ
Adam has been behind the decks since 2015, and in that time he's developed something most DJs spend a lifetime chasing: the ability to truly read a crowd. No ego, no stubbornness—just an honest feel for what a room needs and the music to match it.
That feel comes from a deep, genuine love for music. As a guitarist and drummer who listens across every genre and every era, Adam brings a breadth of knowledge that shows up in every set. Whether he's keeping the energy alive at a late-night club in LA or finding the perfect soundtrack for a high school graduation party or 50th birthday, he always knows the right song for the moment.
A student of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Southern California, Adam has experience DJing at clubs across LA and is a trusted go-to for private events at colleges throughout the city.
Every event is different, but the goal is always the same: to make sure no one wants the night to end.
